Candy
Cane Shooter
Serves 1
1/2 oz Grenadine
1/2 oz Crème De Menthe
1/2 oz Peppermint Schnapps
Layer in that order in a Cordial or Shooter glass.
Depending on the brand, some Crème De Menthe liqueurs come in clear
or green colours as does the Peppermint Schnapps. Try and buy your
liqueurs so that you have one ingredient as clear and one as green,
so that you can get the full 'candy cane' stripe effect.
Christmas Martini
Serves 1
1 3/4 oz Gin
1/4 oz Peppermint Schnapps
Add ingredients to a cocktail shaker. Shake and strain into a frozen
martini glass. Garnish with a candy cane.
Depending on the brand, some Peppermint Schnapps liqueurs come in
clear or green colours; try out both.
Christmas Tree Shooter
Serves 1
1/4 oz Grenadine
1/2 oz Green Creme De Menthe
1/4 oz Sambuca
Pour in that order in a Cordial or Shooter glass and flame it, (ignite
the Sambuca with a match).
This shooter is sometimes called a "Flaming Christmas Tree".
Having seen flaming shooters go horribly wrong I strongly suggest
that you enjoy this shooter by blowing out the flame soon after
you serve it or without flame
Sugar and Spice Martini
Serves 1
2 oz Gin
2 oz Apple Cider
3/4 oz. Fresh Orange Juice
Splash of Brown Sugar Simple Syrup
Add ingredients to a cocktail shaker. Serve in Martini glass that
has been rimmed with a blend of cinnamon and super fine white sugar
Hot Toddy
Serves 1
1 1/4 oz Dark Rum, Whiskey or Brandy
1 TSP. Sugar
1 Cinnamon Stick
Place the ingredients into a warm mug and fill with boiling water.
Garnish the mug, (impale over the edge) with a half slice of lemon
that is studded with 3 cloves.
Crantini
Serves 1
1 1/2 oz Vodka or Gin
2 oz Cranberry Juice
A splash of Rose's Lime Juice Cordial
Stir with ice in a steel cocktail shaker and strain into a Martini
Glass, preferably chilled. Garnish with a lime wedge and fresh or
frozen cranberry if you like.
Polar Punch
Serves 1
1 oz Grand Marnier
1/4 oz Kahlua
5 oz Hot Chocolate
Pour over ice into a Snifter glass and top it with Whipped Cream
and a Cherry.
Holiday Stinger
Serves 1
1/2 oz Cognac (or Brandy)
1/2 oz Creme De Menthe White
Stir gently with ice in a cocktail shaker and strain into a martini
glass. Garnish with a candy cane or chocolate mint stick.
Xmas Kiss Shooter
Serves 1
1/2 oz Grenadine
1/2 oz Melon Liqueur
1/2 oz Peppermint Schnapps
Layer in that order in a Cordial or Shooter glass.
Hot apple cider
Serves 6 Prep time: 12min
½ gal. Apple cider
2 oranges, sliced
2 limes, sliced
2 tablespoons whole cloves
6 cinnamon sticks (garnish)
Simmer apple cider and whole cloves in a pot for 6 min till it comes
to a boil. Place orange and lime slices in cups and pore apple cider
in cups. Garnish with cinnamon sticks.
Baileys Spiced Coffee
• .5 oz. Baileys Coffee Irish Cream (25 oz. per bottle)
• 1 oz. pear flavored liqueur
• 1 sprinkle(s) nutmeg
• 1 grind(s) 4 seasoned pepper
Layer Belle de Brillet (pear flavored liqueur) first. Then top
with Baileys Coffee Irish Cream. Garnish with nutmeg, a grind of
4 seasoned pepper and enjoy
Hot Cranberry punch
serves 6 Prep times: 8min
4 cups of cranberry juice
4 cups apple juice
1 cup pear juice
2 cinnamon sticks
4 whole cloves
1 lemon, thinly slices
Mix juices. Simmer all spices and juices till it comes to a simmer.
Let the juices cool for 2-3 min then garnish with apple wedges.
Eggnog
Serves 6 Prep time : 20 min
4 ½ cups of milk
4 eggs separated
1 (125g/5 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
1 tablespoon vanilla essence
30 ml (or 1 oz) rum
¼ tablespoon of ground nutmeg or cinnamon.
Use a mixer, beat the eggs in a large bowl for 5-10 min; they need
to be thick and resemble the color of butter. A little bit at a
time, add the milk, sugar and vanilla essence. In a separate bowl,
beat egg whites to stiff peak. Slowly fold the egg whites in to
the rest of the mixture. Add rum. Stir gently. Serve in cups and
garnish ground nutmeg or cinnamon.
Holiday Champagne Punch
Serves 30
2 large bottles of ginger ale
2 large cans red punch
1-2 bottles champagne
1 container red raspberry sherbet
Pitted cherries, raspberries, strawberries or sliced oranges.
Refrigerate all liquid for several hours. Combine pop, champagne
in a large bowl (approximately 8 ½ quarter size). Float brick of
sherbet in bowl and mix slightly so that some of the sherbets blend
with the punch and flavor it. Add 1-2 of the fruits listed as a
garnish. Serve win champagne flutes with a tussle cane.
Iced Vanilla Mocha Fusion
Serves 2 Prep time: 5min
1 cup milk
2 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 tablespoons sugar
4 tablespoons mocha flavoured instant coffee mix
1 cup crushed ice
2 cinnamon sticks (garnish)
In a blender combine milk, vanilla, sugar, coffee powder and crushed
ice. Blend until smooth. Pour into glasses and serve.
7-Up Christmas Bowl
Servings: 3
20 ounces raspberries, frozen, in syrup, partially thawed
12 ounces lemonade, frozen concentrate, thawed
46 ounces pineapple juice
64 ounces 7-Up, chilled
Place raspberries and lemonade in blender, process till smooth.
Strain into punch bowl. Discard seeds. Stir in pineapple juice.
Just before serving, add 7-Up.
Everybody's Irish
Serves 1
1 1/2 oz. Irish Whiskey
1 Tsp. Green Chartreuse
2 Dashes Green Crème de Menthe
1 Green Cocktail Olive
Pour the liquid ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice and
stir. Strain into a chilled cocktail or martini glass. Add the cocktail
olive.
